Prof. Carlos Artemio Coello Coello

Prof. Carlos A. Coello Coello is a world-renowned researcher in the field of evolutionary computation, with a particular focus on multi-objective optimization. He is currently Professor with Distinction at the Department of Computer Science, CINVESTAV-IPN, Mexico. He received his M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Computer Science from Tulane University, USA.

Prof. Coello Coello has published extensively, including several authoritative books and over 90 peer-reviewed journal articles indexed in the Journal Citation Reports. His pioneering work in evolutionary multi-objective optimization (EMO) has had a profound impact on both theoretical research and practical applications, making him one of the most cited scholars in the field.

As an IEEE Fellow, he has played a key leadership role in shaping the international EMO research community, and has served as editor and organizer for numerous high-profile conferences such as EMO, PPSN, and LION.

 

 

Prof. Han-Chieh Chao

 

Fo Guang University

 

Prof. Han-Chieh Chao holds a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Purdue University, USA. He is currently the President of Fo Guang University in Taiwan and also serves as the President of the Taiwan Association of Computer Science and the Taiwan Association of International Networking. He is an adjunct professor at several universities, including Xiamen University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and Harbin Institute of Technology.

Prof. Chao is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), a Fellow of the British Computer Society (BCS), and a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). He has been honored with the U.S. Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award and the Schweitzer Humanitarian Award.

His primary research interests include high-speed networks, mobile communication networks, IPv6 and next-generation Internet, the Internet of Things (IoT), cloud computing, and quantum computing. He has authored four monographs and published over 400 research papers. Under his guidance, more than 160 students have earned their doctoral and master's degrees. He has led numerous research projects in both Taiwan and mainland China and serves as Editor-in-Chief or Guest Editor for several academic journals.

 

 

Prof. Tofigh Allahviranloo

 

Istinye University, Turkey

 

Tofigh Allahviranloo is a Professor of Applied Mathematics at Istinye University in Istanbul, Turkey. An accomplished mathematician and computer scientist, Prof. Allahviranloo is dedicated to multi- and interdisciplinary research efforts. His expertise lies primarily in fundamental research in applied fuzzy mathematics, with a special focus on dynamical systems and pioneering applications in applied biological sciences. 

Prof. Allahviranloo has made significant scientific contributions, including authoring over 14 international books in English and 10 books in Farsi, as well as approximately 450 publications with renowned publishers such as Elsevier, Springer, Wiley, and Taylor & Francis. He has published more than 250 peer-reviewed journal papers over the past 15 years. He is the lead editor of the book series, Uncertainty, Computational Techniques and Decision Intelligence, published by ELSEVIER. In addition to his extensive writing activities, Prof. Allahviranloo plays an important role in the academic community as Associate Editor and Editorial Board Member of several prestigious journals. These include Information Sciences (ELSEVIER), Fuzzy Sets and Systems (ELSEVIER), Journal of Intelligent and Fuzzy Systems (IOS Press), Iranian Journal of Fuzzy Systems, Mathematical Sciences (Springer), Granular Computing (Springer), Journal of Mathematics and Computer Science (ISRP), and Journal of Computational Methods for Differential Equations (University of Tabriz). 

He is currently Executive Editor-in-Chief of Information Sciences (ELSEVIER), Editor-in-Chief of Transactions on Fuzzy Sets and Systems, Editor-in-Chief of International Journal of Industrial Mathematics, Chairman of International Conference on Decision Sciences (IDS) and Managing Editor of The Journal of Mathematics and Computer Science (International Scientific Research Publications). 

In addition, Prof. Allahviranloo is a member of the program committee for the FUZZ-IEEE, NAFIPS Annual Meeting, and IFSA conferences, where he brings his extensive knowledge and experience to these key events in the field of fuzzy systems and applied mathematics.

 

 

Prof. Giuseppe Carbone

 

University of Calabria, Italy

Giuseppe Carbone is Professor at DIMEG, University of Calabria, since 2018. Since 2020 he is Chair of the IFToMM TC on Robotics and Mechatronics. He has got the Master and Ph.D. degree at University of Cassino (Italy) where he has been a Key Member of LARM (Laboratory of Robotics and Mechatronics) for about 20 years. He has carried out several periods of study and research abroad in Germany, Japan, China, South Korea, Brazil, Spain, UK, France, also delivering regular teaching courses in Spain and UK. The duties of his academic position include supervising or co- supervising students at bachelor, master, and PhD level as well as the supervision of several visiting scholars/researchers/professors from foreign countries.

His research interests cover aspects of Robotics, Mechatronics, Engineering Design, Mechanics of Manipulation and Grasp with over 500 research paper outputs, 20 patents, and 16 Phd completions. He edited/co-edited four books that have been published by Springer and Elsevier International Publishers. He has been member of about 20 PhD evaluation Commissions and Viva in Italy, Spain, Finland, UK, Romania, Mexico. He has delivered Invited Keynote or Plenary speeches or Seminars at more than 30 International events. He has been principal Investigator (PI) or co-PI of more than 20 projects including 7th European Framework, H2020 funds, Horizon Europe collecting more than 7 million Euros in competitive funds. He serves in the editorial board of several international journals, including being Editor-in-Chief of ROBOTICA (Cambridge Univ. Press), Section Editor in Chief of Journal of Bionic Engineering (Springer), Machines (MDPI), Robotics (MDPI), Technical Editor of IEEE/ASME Transactions on Mechatronics, Associate editor of IEEE RA-L, ASME Journal of Autonomous Vehicles and Systems, Advanced Robotic Systems and many others.

 

 

Prof. Fabrizio Riguzzi

 

University of Ferrara, Italy

 

Prof. Fabrizio Riguzzi has been a Full Professor of Computer Science at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, University of Ferrara, since December 1, 2020. Prior to this appointment, he served as an Associate Professor from 2014 to 2020 and as an Assistant Professor beginning in 1999 at the University of Ferrara. He earned his Ph.D. in Electronic and Computer Engineering (1999) and his Laurea in Computer Engineering (1995) from the University of Bologna.

Prof. Riguzzi served as Vice-President of the Italian Association for Artificial Intelligence (AIIA) from 2017 to 2021 and currently serves as Coordinator of the BSc in Computer Science and the MSc in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and Big Data. He is Editor-in-Chief of Intelligenza Artificiale, the journal of the Italian Association for Artificial Intelligence, and is an active member of AIIA, GULP, and the Association for Logic Programming.

He has published over 200 peer-reviewed papers, with research interests including Machine Learning, Inductive Logic Programming, and Statistical Relational Learning. His work aims to advance intelligent systems through the innovative integration of techniques from artificial intelligence, logic, and statistics.
